Staff Product Manager - Customer Risk Management

A Day in the Life:

Come join us in our effort to digitally transform Customer Risk Management at Hertz! Recent innovations such as smartphones, electric vehicles, and ride-hailing apps have created new and exciting opportunities in transportation that Hertz is uniquely positioned to capitalize on. We’re looking for product managers who will modernize Hertz’s tech stack and, in the process, ship delightful products to meet the ever-increasing demands of our customers. You will be partnering with engineering teams to build scalable systems and ship features in a complex environment, where one must contend with challenges such as modernizing legacy applications and managing technical debt.  

What You'll Do:

• Define and prioritize product features that will enable the growth and scale of Hertz’s Product initiatives, which are based on the major priorities of the business.
• Execute against long-term product roadmap, coordinating with operations, engineering, design, and data science teams both domestically and internationally.
• Work closely with the strategy, operations, and go to market teams to ensure there is a consistent and holistic approach from pilot to scaled solutions.
• Communicate across constituencies: within cross-functional team, broadly within Hertz internally and external to Hertz (partners, investors, candidates, etc.)
• Ensure that we have a consistent customer focus in our research, planning and decision making
• Articulate and systematically test product hypotheses
• Navigate complex decision-making using product data and key performance indicators
• Identify and implement metrics for estimating the impact of changes to the existing risk management platforms and tools.

What we're Looking For:

• 8+ years of experience in the technology industry, and a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent with preference for
  • Candidates working on Operations/Finance ML products are top tier Technology companies
  • Candidates with experience working directly with ML and Operations Research Scientists 
• Experience deploying and operating AI systems in an org a plus
• Ability to own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a product of significant complexity
• Ability to identify meaningful components of competitive analysis that inform decisions for the product portfolio and roadmaps
• Ability to impact areas outside of immediate scope
• Strong communication skills. You must be able to work with cross-functional partners to gather requirements and explain outcomes
• Strong product sense. You must be able to align your work with business objectives and make appropriate tradeoffs
• Learning mentality. You must be able to pick up new skills as needed and demonstrate a curiosity about new technologies

We expect the starting salary to be around $190,000 to $210,000 with annual bonus eligibility. The actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience.
