Staff Accountant

About the Role

InvestCoud is looking for a dynamic Staff Accountant maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and audits. This position supports the accounting department by performing general ledger accounting, month-end close processes, and financial reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong analytical skills, and is capable of managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines.

How you will provide meaningful contributions:

•  Manage Daily Bank Reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
•  Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
•  Updating the Cash Tracker for AP, AR, and Treasury teams
•  Booking intercompany transactions, outgoing payroll, benefits, bank fees, and other miscellaneous transactions
•  Maintain and manage the NetSuite Fixed Assets Module
•  Create Month-End Reconciliations and analyze reconciling items 
•  Assist in multiple system implementations to achieve long-term finance goals 
•  Work with other accounting teams to analyze Fixed Assets concerning WIP, disposals, and compliance to capitalization limit policies.
•  Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
•  Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed.
•  Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
•  Assist with the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and adjusting entries.
•  Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
•  Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
•  Ensure all financial records are maintained in accordance with regulatory and company policies.
•  Provide financial data and analysis as requested by management.

 

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

•  Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. 
•  1-3 years of accounting experience.
•  Analytical attitude and ability to resolve accounting problems with multiple variables. 
•  Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. 
•  Ability to assist with projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; exhibit a sense of urgency in performing tasks. 
•  Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to relate and clearly communicate with accounting team and other departments. 
•  Must be a team player, ambitious, and able to prioritize under pressure during peak periods. 
•  Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite. 
•  Experience with ERP systems is preferred; NetSuite is a plus. 
•  Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

 

Preferred Skills / Experience

•  CPA candidate preferred. 
•  At least one year of accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
•  NetSuite experience is a plus.
