Senior Staff Accountant

What the Role Is

We are growing and looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company. This person will be involved with helping implement best-practices and improvement efficiencies. We are looking for someone that has a positive attitude, is flexible and adaptable to change, looking for a challenge, and excited to grow into this role.

Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

(These responsibilities must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation)

• Perform timely month end close tasks
• Bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet accruals
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Manage all Fixed Assets
• Sales tax filings and payments
• Setting up new companies after construction is complete
• Various projects, as assigned
• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Assist in completion of balance sheet and tax audits
• Evaluate and utilize technology to help streamline, create improvement efficiencies, and implement new processes.
• Report analysis and findings to management team

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years previous experience in Accounting
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with Dynamics Business Central or NAV is a definite plus
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience working with accounts payable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet)
• Experience working in private equity
• Looking for someone that utilizes technology, always seeks improvements, helps to create efficiencies, and welcomes these changes

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting

Pay Range $80,000 - $90,000 annually
