Baxter is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Software Quality Technician to join our Novum Infusion Pump team in the Medical Products and Therapies group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and analysis. This role is crucial in identifying defects and ensuring that our software meets the highest standards before release.
What you'll be doing:
- Software Quality: Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including functional, regression, and performance testing, to identify bugs and ensure optimal performance.
- Defect Tracking: Record, report, and track defects using issue tracking tools. Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test results, including detailed reports on defects, test coverage, and testing processes.
- Automation: Assist in the development and execution of automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on software usability and functionality.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance testing methodologies and practices.
What you'll bring:
- Experience: Previous experience in software quality assurance or testing is highly desirable. Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies is beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail) and understanding of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- High school diploma.
Working Conditions
- The Software Quality Technician will work in an office environment, primarily at a computer lab workstation.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $56,000 to $77,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
