We are looking for you to join our team as a Senior Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist based in Sunnyvale, CA.

What you will get to do:

  • Source and procure goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers
  • Initiate Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers
  • In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
  • Work with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations and optimize volume pricing through bid package strategies
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and placing compliant purchase orders
  • Extract, monitor, analyze, and validate data information from multiple sources
  • Develop engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners/customers to drive problem resolution
  • Employ sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded
  • Review and approve supplier payment as needed
  • Candidate must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry
  • Utilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, logistics, or project/business management; OR 6 or more years of relevant experience with a Masters.  Or in lieu of a degree, 12+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or project/business management
  • 5+ years of experience as a buyer or subcontract specialist

Preferred Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP  

Salary Range: $103,200.00 - $154,800.00
