ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maintain daily documentation of contract work and participant pay. 
  • Ensure quality assurance of product to determine if items meet specifications prior to shipment. Complete random sampling and spot checks of contract work to ensure quality. 
  • Prioritizes, organizes, and directs work flow including the supervision of the material handlers and the loading and unloading of product. Recommend measures to improved production methods, efficiency of department, equipment performance, and quality of product.  
  • Maintain time and motion studies per Department of Labor regulations making adjustments as needed.  
  • Aides in the development of the agency through promoting volunteerism, involvement in promotional activities, and providing education and awareness to the general public in order for Community Link to be a leader in programs and services.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Experience in production supervision and working with developmentally disabled adults preferred.  


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as participant program plans and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to participants.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of money.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must be willing to complete forklift training and receive OSHA certification. 


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Must be able to develop effective and efficient communications skills through instruction and training, to adapt favorably to changing program needs and have genuine interest in the welfare of participants. Must be able to develop basic knowledge of behavior principles through instruction and training. Capability with basic computer operation for participant data tracking, incident reporting, and other processes deemed necessary by the supervisory staff.
