We operate a hybrid work model, fostering both in-person collaboration and flexibility to work from home.<p></p><p>About the Role</p><p></p><p>In the Application Development Teams, you will craft and develop high-quality, large scale enterprise cloud solutions, in an agile environment. You will collaborate with software architects, product managers, and other partners to deliver solutions crafted to meet the needs of today's large global businesses. Development is all done in the cloud, on a single codeline, through a continuous development model.</p><p>We require a hands-on technical leader to work in a collaborative, fast paced agile environment. You will be required to:</p><ul><li>Drive the design and development of scalable, highly performant, highly available enterprise application solutions</li><li>Innovate constantly while committing efficient, robust and maintainable code within an OO framework</li><li>Relentlessly champion code quality by delivering reliable unit, integration, and system level tests to run on our CD pipeline</li><li>Partner effectively with product and senior stakeholders to drive product vision</li><li>Communicate complex ideas simply and effectively to drive effective decision-making with senior leadership</li><li>Coach and mentor team members to deliver to high standards by actively contributing to pair programming initiatives, interactive code reviews, design reviews, brown bags and innovation-focused hackathons</li><li>Collaborate cross functionally with local and remote technical teams to ensure we always deliver the best possible solutions to our customers</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>About You</p><p></p><p>Basic Qualifications:</p><ul><li>8 + years experience with Web application development and/or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML is a plus</li><li>Experience of development any OO languages at a senior level ( Eg Java, C#)</li><li>Experience of team leadership and/or Agile leadership experience</li><li>Experience of leading the technical delivery of innovative and complex business functionality</li><li>Understanding of software engineering principles and the ability to demonstrate the application of these principles in recent project deliverables</li><li>A code quality champion and advocate with a understanding of test automation principles</li><li>Understanding of performance engineering and performance testing principles</li></ul><p></p><h2>Other Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>Experience with Integration technologies</li><li>Exposure to modern UI technologies such as React</li><li>Metadata-driven definitional development experience</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>At Workday, we believe every potential recruit brings value to the table.
