Registered Nurse - Radiology

Inova Health System’s Alexandria Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Radiology team. This role is PRN. The schedule expectations are M-F, 6:30a-11/11:30a with 1 call rotation every 4th-5th weekend - sat (8a-4p) & sun (8a-12p).

Responsibilities: 

The Registered Nurse provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. Consistently provides safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education. Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines. Determines processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration. Ask your Recruiter for the full job description!

Other responsibilities to include, but not limit:

• Partnering with other radiology partners (ie. CT, MRI, Nuc Med techs)
• Administer medications
• Act on standby in the case of an aversion to medication
• Assist patients/techs after scans
• Reading ECGs

Requirements:

• Hours: PRN, M-F, 6:30a-11/11:30a with 1 call rotation every 4th-5th weekend - sat (8a-4p) & sun (8a-12p)
• Location: Inova Alexandria Hospital
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
• Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse 
• Licensure/Certifications: Registered Nurse License in the Commonwealth of Virginia; BLS from the American Heart Association
