Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern in the Greater Pennsylvania to be based in the Conshohocken, PA office for the Fall 2024 Semester.  Our business focuses primarily on providing professional and technical services in engineering design, code consultation, and construction phase services for a wide variety of clients both in the private sector and public sector.  We execute large and complex engineering projects and provide a comprehensive range of professional planning and design, systems engineering and technical assistance, program and construction management, and operations and maintenance services. 

 

This position is expected to begin for the Fall 2024 Semester.

 

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Design of roadway geometry, traffic control, as well as signing and pavement markings
  • Utility coordination support
  • Computer-Aided Design production
  • Quantities and cost estimates

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a college or university pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 1 year of completed study towards a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD familiarity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate effective time management, task prioritization, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices when public transportation is not available.

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available in the future for this position.
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Conshohocken, PA.  The selected candidate must be available to work in Conshohocken on a scheduled basis.
