Raytheon ASDS (Air & Space Defense Systems) Procurement Team seeks an experienced Operations\ Supply Chain professional to lead Supplier Performance engagements at both external and IOT suppliers. Reporting to the Supplier Performance Manager, and partnering with Mission Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Program Management. This position requires an operations, program management, and supply chain background along with the ability to lead across functional and organizational boundaries.
The ideal candidate will draw from extensive operations, program management, and supply chain management skills to improve the performance of assigned critical supplier(s) and ensure suppliers meet the business objectives they are contracted to achieve. The candidate will communicate with all levels of the organizations within Raytheon and at the supplier; must have the business acumen to immediately connect contractual, operational, sourcing, and technical concerns that may impact a supplier’s ability to perform; and is able to proactively identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
What You Will Do:
- Responsibilities include, but not limited to, leadership of Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, and Engineering professionals as it pertains to supplier performance and strategy. Build relationships with suppliers and employ measurement tools that will effectively:
• Improve the overall performance of assigned suppliers- Develop recovery plans that are achievable and ensure accurate factory forecasting
• Develop opportunities to improve affordability and accelerate schedule where needed. - Ensure contract dates, MRP dates, and supplier commitment dates are accurate and updated to drive data integrity.
- Identify purchase order clean up needs and engage buyers to update records as necessary
- Develop continuous improvement opportunities with supplier
- Develop recovery plans that are achievable and ensure accurate factory forecasting
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or other related field
and minimum 10 years of Operations \ Program Management \ Supply Chain or related experience - Experience developing suppliers and working with suppliers to improve performance and affordability
- Leadership/Management experience, building relationships, work and lead in a cross functional environment, interface with varying levels of management and work with multi-functions including supply chain, mission assurance, program management, engineering, operations, and supply base
- Analytical skills throughout the supplier performance and oversight process
- Experience converting business and program requirements into executable strategies
- Experience in constraint management and lean manufacturing principles
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with team building, conflict resolution and relationship management to create an effective partnering environment that includes accountability, respect and trust
- Experience leading and presenting executive level reviews and briefings
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience with program management roles and functions, including, statement of work generation, risk management, action item management, and requirement change management
- Experience and understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Six Sigma process improvement such as Raytheon Technologies CORE and/or historic Raytheon R6s expert
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR and DFAR) and ITAR requirements
