Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Field Technician to join our team in Boston, MA. The Field Technician will work closely with a team of staff engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting projects largely in urban environments. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with project Principals, and grow professionally.
What You Will Do
- Provide construction quality assurance services on earthwork construction projects.
- Complete timely and accurate field reports, field notes, field logs, and related project documentation.
- Communicate daily with contractors in the field and project managers in the office.
- Complete geotechnical and environmental field sampling, including subsurface exploration programs.
- Conduct routine calibration, maintenance, and minor repairs of field equipment, with guidance for more complex maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with data collection, data entry, data review, analysis, and technical research to support project objectives.
- Performs a variety of routine and moderately complex field and technical assignments.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and accountability in all work products.
- Work under the guidance of experienced engineers and scientists while developing technical and field expertise.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to build knowledge and advance technical skills.
- Follow company health and safety procedures and promote safe work practices at project sites.

- Experience providing geotechnical construction observation and associated field report documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills combined with flexibility to work with shifting priorities.
