Job Description

Materials Handler I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Primarily responsible for daily warehouse operations including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving supplies, performing incoming quality inspections, managing inventory, conducting cycle counting, and providing general facilities support in order to ensure continuation of daily business operations. 
  • Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies including the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Review and follow Standard Operational Procedures including staying up to date with changes
  • Oversees all inbound supply deliveries; performs product inspections; and enters related data into the receiving system according to established operating Procedures (OP’s).
  • Manages inventory in accordance with “First-In, First-Out (FIFO)” principles in order to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Performs general facility related duties including, but not limited to, the cleaning of laboratory areas, minor facility repairs, and overall monitoring of the facility.
  • Troubleshoots building equipment problems as required in order to maintain overall business operations.
  • High integrity and demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with other departments in a team environment.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities to support laboratory and facility operations and equipment as assigned.
  • Meets basic expectations of Eurofins’s quality management system, including, but not limited to good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping so the company may meet its stated quality policy and objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous laboratory inventory experience preferred, but not required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Working Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 0-2 years of warehouse or facility maintenance experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
