Silvaco is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, and has a global presence with offices located in North America, Europe, Brazil, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan. <strong>LOCATION: Grenoble area in France, hybrid working: remote and office work on a weekly basis </strong><strong>JOB SUMMARY </strong><br/>Silvaco, one of the leading EDA supplier to the semiconductor industry, is adding a new position in France to strengthen its variation-aware products to address memory IP/digital library/custom IC/analog designers’ challenging process variation concerns. <br/>Located in Grenoble area, this team collaborates with other geographically distributed teams of engineers that provide variation-aware design flows and solutions. The new teammate will contribute to backend developments and product evolution collaborating with other engineers in the team to meet end-user requirements in the context of continuous improvement and test-driven development. <br/>This role consists of ensuring timely delivery of high-quality C++ code collaborating on software development projects. It also requires the ability to keep the team up-to-date with the latest trends in C++ software development as a C++ lead developer. Success in this position requires a motivated team player committed to deliver reliable customer centric solutions. <br/><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to: </strong><ul><li>Work closely with the Team Leader and related teammates in developing/maintaining code and corresponding infrastructure </li><li>Write high-quality, efficient and maintainable C++ code </li><li>Design, develop and optimize high-performance algorithms </li><li>Manage software development quality and lifecycle </li><li>Integrate 3rd party libraries: license manager, job schedulers for HPC, SPICE simulators </li><li>Troubleshoot bugs </li></ul><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE </strong><ul><li>10+ years of hands-on or equivalent experience as a software engineer or software developer </li><li>MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant fields </li><li>Familiar with software development standards: modern C++ (c++17), Boost library, source code management (git), testing (gtest, sanitizer), debugging (gdb) </li><li>Problem solving and team player </li><li>Basic concepts in (micro)electronics </li></ul> <strong>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE </strong><ul><li>Familiar with build and test automation (CMake, CTest) and CI/CD flows </li><li>Familiar with Linux platform </li><li>Experience in distributed computing and software architecture, high performance computing </li><li>Familiar with database design and related libraries </li><li>Fluent in English and French </li><li>Experience with SPICE simulators and related environments </li><li>Basic concepts in statistics </li></ul><br/>All Silvaco salary ranges are determined by role, level, and geographic location.
