PayPal, Inc. seeks Manager, Data Science Operation Service in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Lead a team to provide data science operation service and support for analytical solutions to improve business efficiency. Perform statistical analysis to provide monitoring and investigation support for analytical solutions. Identify and timely investigate live issues for analytical solutions and collaborate with business partners to solve problems. Research emerging technologies to design, develop and maintain modern data­ driven monitoring, alerts, and analytical solutions. Analyze merchant product performance and health, triage issues, and provide recommendations on the best course solution and optimization. Provide strategic and tactical guidance on specific data elements that need to be tracked to enable tracking of metrics and assess user behavior. Solve production issues in data science applications by synthesizing and presenting an analysis of production roadblocks, performance, scalability, and functionality. Deliver clear status communication to leadership by collecting and summarizing information across different departments.

Job Description:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Additional Job Description:

PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The expected base salary for this role is $175,768 - 234,300 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The total compensation for this position includes standard company benefits and is based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills and experience.
