PeratonAbout the role
Responsibilities
We’re hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to provide expert-level guidance and technical leadership across complex, multi-disciplinary engineering efforts within the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of accurate, timely GEOINT by leading the full systems engineering lifecycle—from requirements and solution design to integration and sustainment.
You will work at the intersection of advanced technology, commercial data, and mission-critical decision-making—guiding integration across enterprise systems and major acquisition programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor mid- and junior-level engineers in requirements analysis, solution architecture, system integration, testing, and maintainability—emphasizing commercial data and product workflows.
Provide technical leadership in planning, architecture traceability, and the evaluation of cloud services, system workflows, and procedures for automation or improvement.
Design and guide solutions based on emerging technologies and evolving mission requirements.
Capture and translate mission and user needs into actionable system requirements and capability-based solutions.
Analyze and allocate requirements across system architectures and executing programs.
Conduct systems integration and ensure interoperability of commercial data within analytical platforms, GEOINT tools, and enterprise architectures.
Lead technical evaluations, including:
Analysis of Alternatives (AoA)
Course of Action (CoA) development
Trade studies and engineering assessments
Support strategic technical planning, project execution, risk management, and performance engineering.
Operate at an enterprise level, integrating systems and services across organizational and program boundaries—particularly within Major System Acquisitions.
Ensure seamless integration and operational use of commercial data and products across systems and agency partners.
Why This Role Matters:
This role directly impacts national security by enabling GEOINT capabilities that drive informed decision-making at the highest levels. If you're a systems engineer ready to lead mission-critical integration efforts and mentor the next generation of technical talent—this opportunity is for you.
