Position Summary:

The REACH Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Violence Prevention at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Center for Health Justice and Bioethics and will be responsible for the overall, day-to-day operations of REACH. REACH is an innovative, hospital linked Community Violence Intervention (CVI) program that, through credible messengers and trusted community members, provides individual case management and support to recently violently injured individuals and those at risk of experiencing and/ or engaging in violence. Primary duties including building and refining the program and processes, managing internal and external partner relationships, and motivating, mentoring, and supervising the REACH Community Case Worker team. The Program Manager also serves as the Behavioral Health Director of REACH, creating behavioral health plans for participants.

Job Details:

* This position requires the following background checks: criminal history review, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprinting

Required Education and Experience:        

* Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, public health, or similar field; master’s degree preferred

* Minimum of 5-year experience working in field of Community Violence Intervention/ Prevention

* Required knowledge and demonstrated application of trauma-informed care

* Minimum of 5-year experience with demonstrated success in leading, planning, and organizing operations

* Minimum of 3-year experience having successfully managed and motivated a high-performing staff team; experience in hiring and conducting job appraisals preferred

Required Skills and Abilities:

* Demonstrated commitment to serving North Philadelphia community.

* Experience working with individuals impacted by violence, incarceration, and the criminal legal system. Those with personal experience are encouraged to apply.
