Provides care in a medical practice office or clinic under the direction of a provider. Maintains a clean and safe environment, provide patient care and provide patients with information. Provides mentoring for Level I Medical Assistants in the same physician office. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in The Methodist Mission, Vision and Values.

 

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required), Technical Degree or Diploma: Medical Assistant

Work Experience:

Medical Assistant or similar, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare facility

Certifications:

AAMA Certified Medical Assistant - The American Association of Medical Assistants, AMT Registered Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologists, BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National Healthcareer Association, HEART SAVER - American Heart Association, NAHP Certified Medical Assistant - National Association of Health Professionals, NCCT Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing
