Greeter Martoranos (Part-Time)

Essential Job Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Answers phones, the phone should not ring more than three times.
• Greets all guests entering Martorano’s and bids guest farewell and thanks them for choosing Martorano’s.
• Shows the guest, at a comfortable pace WITH them, to their table.
• Pulls out chairs, starting with women first.
• Gives a quality assurance, for example “Enjoy your dinner.”
• Introduces server when seating guest.
• Follows company standards of hospitality by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting with the proper verbiage: “Good morning, afternoon, or evening, thank you, ma’am or sir, may I?”
• Informs the server of special requests, celebrations or time constraints, using approved methods.
• Follows approved check transfer policy.
• Performs opening and closing procedures as defined.
• Provides the kitchen and management with a breakdown of large parties throughout the meal period as necessary.
• Performs any mailing, posting, mailing list, and projects given them by the manager on duty as time permits.
• Pays particular attention to all tables which will be seated, making sure that the table is properly set before seating.
• Ensures that all menus and wine lists are in good shape, wiped and presentable to the guest. ž Posting daily floor plans.
• Stocking supplies (ie: matches, business cards, toothpicks, etc)
• Adheres to proper sanitation procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness, stocking, sale and appearance of retail items and restaurant entrance.
• Maintains Martorano’s uniform in good condition and reports to work in authorized uniform as mandated by Martorano’s. This includes maintaining a clean and well-groomed appearance in compliance with Martorano’s dress code standards
• All other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• 1 year of experience in a bar, lounge, or full service restaurant.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to perform basic math.
• Being able to effectively maintain working relationships with staff and other departments.
• Full knowledge and understanding of Martorano’s rules, policies and procedures.
• Must possess the disposition to have fun at work and display that spirit to our guests. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
