Job Overview
This Administrative Assistant position would perform a variety of administrative functions for the Burn Surgery & Plastic Reconstructive Services physicians and the Burns Surgery Department – including, but not limited to calendaring and occasional transcription; answering telephones for various offices, scheduling meetings, appointments and conference calls, filing copying, preparing materials for meetings, distributes mail accordingly, keeps all Burn and Plastic physicians’ licensure current, works closely with UC Davis Department of Surgery administrative staff, coordinates very detailed travel arrangements ,and prepares Burns On-Call schedules.
This position is full-time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $28.90-$40.30/hourly. Compensation is based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of general clerical and administrative functions and special projects for the Burn Surgery department as directed to ensure the smooth and timely flow of work within the departmental office.
- Maintains departmental files and record keeping systems, ensuring retrievability of information.
- Performs a variety of administrative and project support functions for the Burn Surgery physicians/department.

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma/GED (equivalent)
- Business and training education or experience which provide qualifying skills and knowledge
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, calendar/appointment programs, tables and database applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 2+ year experience in Executive Level or Senior Executive support
Preferred:
- Senior sectretarial experience in a hospital setting
