Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Global Accounts Payable Manager – Partnerships will be responsible for liaising with the business units, providing exceptional service, and managing a business model that will drive the standard of the organization. This role will manage escalations and expectations from the business stakeholders. This role has visibility throughout the Finance organization and will need to cultivate strong cross-functional partnerships across the company. This role will be part of the larger Global Finance Operations (GFO) team. The GFO team is currently stabilizing operations after transitioning work from two outsourcing partners to one global partner, building up its retained shared service team capabilities, implementing new technology solutions and harmonizing global processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

• Serve as the single point of contact for a group of business units (Film, Parks, TV& Streaming, Corporate, News, etc.), local operations, and line of business support in delivery of the high impact accounts payable processes.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the businesses supported in addition to AP policies and processes.
• Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolution, working closely with the GFO delivery organization and Accenture team.
• Maintain accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions. 
• Build and maintain strong customer-oriented relationships across NBCU Finance and key functional groups such as Tax, Treasury, Audit, IT, Sourcing and Compliance.

Continuous Improvements

• Recommend optimizations to P2P Global Process Owner (GPO) after considering all relevant factors.
• Support the design and implementation of the Global Finance Operations Transformation (GFOT) program.

Standards and Controls

• Ensure compliance to policies and procedures, and adherence to regulatory and audit requirements for assigned business units.

Performance

• Have the ability to self-troubleshoot problems experienced by the vendor and business units that report system and/or process issues to effectively provide exceptional customer service
• Create, track, report and manage performance metrics, including resolution of any pending/recurring action items for assigned business units.
• Assist in developing a culture and reputation in which customer experience is a focus, service delivery is robust, and processes are efficient and transformational.
• Analyze the overall performance of Global P2P and health of the relationship with the customer and other stakeholders utilizing KPIs, SLA and business metric monitoring and relationship building.
• Foster collaboration within the team and across the customer lifecycle. 

People

• Partner with stakeholders across the end-to-end processes to review activities and ensure a high quality and productive support for business needs.

2023/2024 key deliverables and areas of focus:

• Assist in rolling out the Governance Program between Global P2P, the Business Process Outsourcer (BPO) and key business stakeholders.
• Partner as appropriate with team to implement technology solutions including a supplier information management portal, an invoice integration and scanning tool, a workflow and escalation management tool and various virtual workforce and RPA opportunities.
• Participate in various process and policy initiatives including an updated P-Card policy and controls framework, a redesigned vendor regulatory compliance program and a review of the vendor
