Job Description

Registered Nurses are responsible for the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care delivery. The Registered Nurse providers clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift.

7:00am - 7:30pm with holiday and weekend rotation. Pay based on experience starting at $35.43

Responsibilities

Administers medications and treatments according to protocol.  , Assures that documentation reflects changes in patient condition and notification to appropriate individual has occurred.  , Bedside report during shift change or anytime patient care is transferred to another team member., Clarifies and reviews physician’s orders and takes appropriate action.  , Completes the assessment upon admission, includes appropriate and timely documentation., Coordinates discharge planning with all team members. , Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage the care of patients.  , Demonstrates the ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise and professional manner.  , Documents accurate and ongoing assessments of patient status every 2 hours or as needed., Documents patient teaching/education about plan of care., Enhances patient care and efficiency of unit by optimizing workflow of all team members., Keeps both patient and significant others informed., Keeps logs updated.                        
 , Maintains safety and function of emergency equipment., Makes referral to the OP Care Coordinator as appropriate., Monitors and evaluates the care provided by team members (including lab and radiology) and initiates action to ensure optimal patient care.  , Performs appropriate triage assessments., Provides and coordinates patient and family education and utilizes referral agencies and community documents appropriately.  , Provides complete and professional emergency nursing care by triaging, assessing, and evaluating patient status and response., Responds to patient's call light and other indicators for assistance promptly and courteously and follows through to meet patient's needs., Reviews charts at end of shift (one last time).  

Requirements:

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support W/I 90 Days - Sarah Bush Lincoln, BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire. - Sarah Bush Lincoln, RN-Registered Nurse - State of Illinois
