POSITION SUMMARY

Are you passionate about environmental stewardship and sustainability? The Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation is seeking a motivated Environmental Coordinator to support a variety of environmental and utility management initiatives, including stormwater management, vegetation management, fueling operations and compliance, utility locates, and GIS data collection and analysis. In this role, you will also assist with wildlife and forestry projects, contributing to conservation efforts and ecosystem resilience. Additionally, you will work closely with the sustainability team to implement projects to help achieve Steamboat’s sustainability goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Supervise and coordinate drainage and revegetation projects

• Plan, install, and maintain stormwater controls

• Monitor stormwater and conduct and document weekly inspections 

• Coordinate fuel deliveries and assist in preparing monthly fuel reconciliation reports 

• Conduct and document inspections and perform basic maintenance of fuel and oil storage facilities to comply with Colorado OPS, SPCC, and other regulations 

• Collect and analyze data using GIS equipment and mapping software 

• Locate and mark underground utilities 

• Support conservation and ecosystem management efforts 

• Lead herbicide application efforts in accordance with Steamboat's noxious weed program 

• Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

• Other duties as assigned
