About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, integration, and improvement of industrial production systems and related equipment. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong electrical design experience with practical knowledge of instrumentation, control system interfaces, and real-world machine operation.

You will work closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to develop electrical solutions that improve safety, reliability, and system performance. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who can think beyond drawings and understand how design choices impact equipment in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain electrical schematics for industrial systems, including 24VDC control systems and 480VAC power systems
  • Support electrical system design, power distribution, panel concepts, and hardware integration
  • Select and apply sensors, actuators, valves, pumps, and other field instrumentation for industrial applications
  • Collaborate with controls and engineering teams on I/O structure, signal integrity, and system integration
  • Participate in factory testing, I/O checks, commissioning, and startup support
  • Assist with field troubleshooting and resolution of electrical system issues
  • Maintain documentation including schematics, manuals, and operating procedures
  • Support vendor coordination for electrical panels, VFDs, instrumentation, and related equipment
  • Ensure designs follow applicable codes, standards, and safe operating practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, concept testing, and standardization of electrical designs and practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, application engineering, or industrial systems
  • Strong background in electrical schematics and system design
  • Experience with 24VDC and 480VAC electrical systems
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and automation components
  • Understanding of control systems from an electrical integration standpoint
  • Familiarity with industrial standards, codes, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with PLM tools and cross-functional engineering documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and practical problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
