40Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Professional Rater II to support an innovative precision medicine trial in primary care clinics. This multi-level study aims to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes related to tobacco treatment, including increasing treatment uptake and overall effectiveness.In this role, you will work directly with patients and physicians, playing a key part in implementing and evaluating study procedures. Responsibilities include participant recruitment, obtaining informed consent, and data collection. You will also assist in training clinical and research staff on study protocols.
This position offers a dynamic mix of remote and on-site work at our medical center, providing opportunities for hands-on experience in clinical research and patient interaction within a collaborative and mission-driven team.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recruits, screens, and schedules participants for study per protocol.
- Obtains informed consent, administers interviews, and delivers behavioral intervention to participants.
- Generates participant study reports.
- Maintains accurate documentation across all study databases.
- Proficient in using PC-based computer programs and applications.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions.
- Assists in training staff and students on study procedures.
- Performs quality control of data collected to ensure it is accurate.
- Monitors and purchases study supplies and submits research participant payments.
- Assists with study-related tasks (e.g., preparing study visit materials, data cleaning).
- Attends weekly and monthly team meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.

Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements). Must be obtained within one month of hire.

$19.21 - $28.85 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
