Location: Nashville, Tennessee

 

Pay Range: $22-$28/hour

Job Summary

 

The Project Coordinator is an essential member of the electrical project team responsible for supporting project managers and field staff with administrative, coordination, and documentation tasks to help deliver projects on time and within budget. This is a key role for someone interested in growing into supervisory or assistant project management positions in the electrical construction industry.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project management team with project setup, planning, and execution support.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation including contracts, drawings, submittal logs, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Prepare reports, meeting minutes, proposals, and routine correspondence.
  • Track and process project paperwork such as invoices, purchase orders, subcontract agreements, change orders, lien waivers, and billing records.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments to verify deliverables, compliance, and deadlines.
  • Assist with scheduling, subcontractor communication, and field coordination as directed by project managers.
  • Ensure accurate project cost tracking and timekeeping; help monitor budgets.
  • Support project start-ups, close-outs, and transition documentation.
  • Perform general office duties, including answering phones, data entry, and calendar coordination.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in construction management, business, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years administrative or coordination experience; construction or electrical experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with project management software.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively.
