Citibank, N.A. seeks a Digital Software Engineer Senior Manager for its Irving, TX location.
DUTIES: Review application and perform development of the core IT project deliverables and provide technology inputs. Review and approve Release Change Requests for all environment deployment to ensure the release changes are in alignment to the business needs and that change request plans are with minimal to no impact for the application users during deployment. Review technology and deployment architecture to ensure it meets project expectations and ensure it has vertical and horizontal future expansions. Work with Citi Technology Center to get approval on architecture. Coordinate with all the impacted IT project and deployments teams and facilitate rollback for failure implementations. Monitor the applications’ performance and volumes to ensure the data are in alignment with the service level agreement. Review application software and technology used in the projects. Ensure these are the current technologies based on Citi Technology Center guidelines. Create software upgrade and technology projects to remediate the risks and ensure applications are using the latest software and technology. Review application deployment infrastructure and clustering models to meet high application usage. Coordinate internal and external communications between teams, departments, and stakeholders. Handle escalations, risks, crisis, and change in requirements for the program. Work with business users to prioritize business program deliverables, assess scope, and estimate program efforts and align them to Sprint deliverables. Make formal project initiations with stakeholders for project scopes. Work with external project managers to reserve resources. Review design and development of projects with all stakeholders every week. Prepare resource requirements based on project forecasts. Work with vendors for resource needs and the skill sets required to deliver projects. Review application/software entitlements on semi-yearly basis and approve/revoke entitlements, if needed. Initiate and support business programs. As per the Citi technology operations guidelines and Continuity of Business (“COB”) requirements as part of Disaster Management mandate, create processes, procedures, and place resources to perform COB test and document evidence for a successful test, which affirms that there are appropriate disaster management controls. Review application and conduct Vulnerability Assessment to ensure application and data security. Perform the technical implementation and function as a point of escalation for the resolution of technical matters. Identify technical risks and plan contingency and mitigation actions.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered, as a Technical Architect, Developer, or in a related occupation. Eight (8) years of experience must include: Leading resources and serving as a functional Subject Matter Expert by utilizing the advanced knowledge of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, networking to lead, architect, and drive broader adoption forward; Migrating application functionalities that are part of large monolithic systems into an ecosystem of microservices using Java, Oracle, Spring Boot, SQL, JPA, PL/SQL, REST and deploying in cloud environments including PCF or Openshift; Demonstrating knowledge on automating code quality, code performance, unit testing, and build processing in the CI/CD; Interacting with stakeholders including end-user clients, project manager/scrum master, business analysts, developers, architects, quality assurance, operations, production support, information security officer, and other development teams; Understanding Data Governance Capabilities, Data Services, Enterprise Data Modelling, Solution Architecture, Micro services, Rest APIs, Cloud Migration, Delivery Transformation, Agile Framework, Continuous Delivery and Legacy System Migration; Utilizing multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight over software development lifecycle processes including: User Story Grooming Grooming, Software Development, Code Review, Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance Testing, Change Management, and Incident Management and tools including ALM, JIRA, Service Now, Bitbucket, Junit, SonarQube, and Jenkins; and Implementing Web Application using jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, JSON, CSS, Ajax. 40 hrs./wk.
