Are you a nursing student about to complete your RN education program or a recent graduate with less than six months of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!  

 

 We are seeking full-time New Grad RNs for our Emergency Department at Atrium Health Mercy.   

For more than 100 years, Atrium Health Mercy has treated approximately 80-110 ED and 130-212 in-patients daily with a special combination of human compassion and leading-edge expertise. Atrium Health Mercy is a full-service community hospital, specializing in age-friendly care and in hip and knee surgery, spine surgery, complex foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine/shoulder surgery, hand surgery, bariatric surgery, urology, general surgery, and general medicine. Atrium Health Mercy is Magnet designated in Nursing Excellence, NICHE designated (elderly friendly), and is also a Planetree International designated hospital for excellence in person-centered care.

Job Summary  

The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.  

 

Physical Requirements 
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English in good, understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.    

 
Education, Experience and Certifications. 
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Current Basic Life Support required per policy guidelin
