Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a closely related field
- Coursework/Training: Child Life specific clinical training experience (e.g., practicum and/or internship) in a pediatric medical setting
- Coursework/Training: Trained in child development principles and impact of illness and hospitalization on children and families: application of therapeutic play, developmental education, and expressive modalities to address psychosocial needs of children and families
- National Certified Child Life Specialist - Association of Child Life Professionals within 6 months (180 days) of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working with young children and adolescents in a healthcare setting
- Completion of at least 600 hours of clinical training supervised by a Certified Child Life Specialist
- Training in child development and understanding the psychosocial impact of illness and hospitalization on children and their families
- Experience in applying therapeutic play, providing developmental education, and using expressive modalities to address the psychosocial needs of children and families

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
