Vice President Software Development – Fraud

What does a successful Vice President, Software Development – Fraud do at Fiserv?

You will lead the Data Commerce Solutions team and design, develop, and participate in the operational initiatives for the Fraud platform and Fraud product initiatives within DCS. You will lead a development team to build products that solve various Fraud use cases.

What you will do:

  • Create a vision and direction for Fraud risk exchange and various Fraud products to deliver best in class Fraud solutions to our external and internal customers
  • Develop and implement technology roadmap, resource plans aligned with DCS Fraud, DCS Technology and overall DCS Strategy
  • Lead, build and grow the team of application developers; mentor and produce high quality engineering output across multiple product lines
  • Build product development roadmaps, lead prioritization discussions and work with product managers in an agile manner
  • Lead multiple parallel products and ensure the individual product teams are structured to be delivery-focused to meet timelines and budget
  • Lead the team with security in mind: authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature, SSL, web service proxies, firewalls, multi-protocol gateways

What you will need to have:

  • 15+ years of experience in application and product development to progressive leadership roles; preferably in building a large data exchange in Fraud. Experience in building Fraud solutions leveraging identity and transactional behaviors, deploying attributes and models for real-time and batch customers
  • 7+ years of experience with direct accountability to build and lead engineering teams to deliver on roadmaps
  • 7+ years of experience leading teams that built products leveraging NoSQL, Springboot, Docker, Kubernetes architecture and Java, Spark, Kafka and MPP systems
  • 7+ years of experience in the evolution of 3-tier, data warehousing, big data high throughput and low latency distributed architectures
  • 7+ years of experience implementing complex full stack solutions including big data marts, and micro-services in large Enterprise organizations
  • 7+ years of experience implementing low latency (<100ms) on a large volume time series transactions processing applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

  • 10+ years of experience in software and data engineering work in a Credit and Financial industry
  • Well versed in SDLC, DevOps, and continuous delivery, continuous deployment within a large-scale organization
  • Hands on experience leveraging object-oriented design patterns, domain driven design principals, test driven development and enterprise architecture frameworks
  • MBA or leadership certifications
