The Advanced Technology Strategic Business Unit’s Airborne Spectrum Dominance (ASD) sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) is looking for a CFO to lead all aspects of financial management for the SSBU to enable the achievement of its Annual Operating Plan and long-term strategic goals. In this role, you’ll be a key member of the ASD Leadership team where you will partner with the ASD Vice President, their Program leaders, and your functional partners in an exciting and quick hitting environment to ensure financial and business goals are met through proactive overseeing, team guidance, and recommendation-based analysis to drive successful results across the SSBU.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide financial guidance to this dynamic business area from business capture/proposal development, through contract set up and implementation that enables growth while achieving its financial commitment to the business. We are looking for someone with the ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask across a variety of critical development programs that lead to future franchises for the business.
This role will be located onsite. The Program/Team members reside predominantly in Texas area so the preferred candidate will be within a commutable distance to McKinney, TX. Qualified candidates in El Segundo, CA could also be considered.
What you Will Do
- Partnering with the finance director and leadership team to ensure sound business decisions are made in program implementation and new business & strategy.
- Effectively manage all financials for a complex development portfolio.
- Driving business financials while maintaining accountability across the programs on both short and long-term initiatives including closely monitoring & measuring performance.
- Construction of the business’ Long-Range Plan and Annual Operating Plan.
- Development & oversight of financial forecasts for Bookings, Sales, Earnings, and Net Cash.
- Management of internal funding for NBI, Capital, and Overhead.
- Provide financial briefings and communications to customers, Finance Leadership Team, SCM/Ops, Engineering, as well as PMO Director.
- Partner on new and innovative cost strategies in support of competitive procurements.
- Develop a team of multiple managers and direct reports (duties will encompass performance expectations/evaluation, career development planning, team reward/recognition etc.).
- Manage business processes, including Estimates at Complete (EAC), Customer Reporting, Gate 5s, Working Capital Management and Earned Value.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in economics, Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field and 12 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 10 years applicable experience.
- An active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required with Special Access.
- Experience managing business processes, including Estimates at Complete (EAC), Customer Reporting, Gate 5s, Working Capital Management Earned Value and Financial Planning.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
