Responsibilities
Major Duties
- Serve as the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team leader providing comprehensive outpatient care for TRICARE beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age presenting with acute and chronic conditions.
- Provide Pre-and Post Deployment health assessments as well as Preventive Health Assessments (PHA).
- Provide direct primary outpatient care to include gynecologic, prenatal obstetric, pediatric, and geriatric care.
- Perform ambulatory surgical procedures including but not limited to casting/splinting, suturing, excisional skin biopsies, vasectomies, colposcopy with biopsies, joint aspiration and injections, IUD and Nexplanon insertion/removal, etc.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and testing procedures to include laboratory and radiological examinations.
- Formulate full treatment and management regimens based on sound diagnoses consistent with current and/or evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
- Provide clinical and administrative leadership to the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team.
- Serve as member of the professional medical staff and complies with hospital plans and policies to meet the accrediting agency, The Joint Commission (TJC), requirements.
