As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for the successful implementation of new assembly tools and equipment, manage engineering changes, and meet all customer’s quality, engineering, and delivery requirements.
- Participate in tech reviews with the project team.
- Lead the assembly process meetings at the integrator and maintain the assembly equipment and tooling timing charts.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes the activities involved with the assembly equipment and tools from the quote phase through the launch of the equipment in the business unit.
- Interface with all internal departments to ensure they are kept up to date on the assembly equipment and tool status and the timely tryouts and launch of the equipment in the business units.
- Assist the team in all launch and production startup activities.
- Manage and maintain the assembly equipment portion of the project including tool designs, equipment fabrication, tryout materials, and launch support so the costs are within budget and the approved CER
- Initiate Purchase order requisitions for new Jobs and engineering changes on welding and assembly equipment
- Maintain assembly equipment and tooling program open issues log and lessons learned log.
- Manage all engineering changes.
- Ensure the assembly equipment and tool program is following proper procedures and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Engineering from four-year college or university
- 4 years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in design, fabrication, and installation of assembly equipment and tools
- CAD and Computer experience (UG, Catia, AutoCAD Desktop etc).
- Ability to read and interpret CMM data, SPC and dimensional data reports.
- Knowledge of APQP processes and the ability to manage and maintain standardized procedures
- Ability to travel
- Must be a permanent US resident
