The Brearley School, an independent girls’ school serving over 770 students K-12, welcomes candidates for the position of a Business Office Associate. The Business Office Associate is responsible for assisting the Business Office leadership in the management of all financial and operational resources of the school. The successful candidate will be highly organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information with the utmost discretion. The candidate will serve as a representative of the Business Office to internal and external constituencies.

Responsibilities
• Serves as the first point of contact and liaison with the Brearley community and external partners for the Business Office, both in person and electronically.
• Coordinate and manage communication with varied constituencies on behalf of the CFO/COO.
• Provide telephone assistance by receiving phone call messages for members of the Business Office and forwarding calls when deemed necessary.
• Manages communication between the Business Office, the Board, or other internal or external stakeholders, ensuring meetings are scheduled with required attendees.
• Manage Business Office meeting room reservations, handle reassignments, and ensure equitable use of space and resources.
• Provide administrative support to the CFO/COO and Business Office leadership.
• Assist in month-end close by pulling invoices and investment statements from online accounts and portals.
• Support the upkeep and organization of HR files, including employee documents, for licensing and compliance purposes.
• Provide administrative support for onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance.
• Assist CFO/COO and other Business Office team members with tasks and projects as needed, including varied assignments and administrative support functions.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, equivalent experience considered.
• Previous administrative or executive support experience, preferred.
• Extraordinary attention to detail and organization.
• Proficient in Google and Microsoft Suite.
• Strong computer skills, including email communication (Google Suite) and electronic submission of documents. Flexibility, and the capacity to adapt to the dynamic and ever-evolving technological systems and portals
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, a strong commitment to customer-service.
• Able to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Excellent time-management, punctuality, professionalism and collegiality.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment, multitask, and effectively communicate.
Salary
The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $65,000, depending on experience.
