Raytheon's Operations, Supply Chain & Quality Manufacturing Engineering Services is conducting search for a Sr. Test and Validation Engineer. This position is based in Forest, MS, and will support production and testing of complex electronic systems, units and modules associated with military radar and communications products.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain Test Procedures.
- Root cause analysis and resolution of test failures (hardware and test equipment).
- Maintenance and configuration control of STE (Special Test Equipment). Specify replacement equipment when required due to obsolescence.
- Train technicians to use Test Procedures and provide written directions for trouble shooting instruction
- Transform complex information and data into clear, concise and visually engaging presentations.
- Generate and maintain equipment utilization charts and area test flows
- Travel, as required, to support transition activities and supplier engagements.
- Other duties as assigned
This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Forest, MS facility.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position
- Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) or Electrical Engineering (EE).
- Experience testing, troubleshooting or servicing production radar systems and/or subsystems (i.e. Antenna Assembly) or the special test equipment used to accept them
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience using nearfield or farfield range equipment to evaluate antenna hardware.
- Interpret product specifications and requirements
- Previous experience with fiber optics in communication systems
- Experience with modern Automated Test Systems for testing electronic assemblies
- Experience performing root cause and corrective action analysis of technical issues
- Experience analyzing test results and determining if hardware meets specification.
- Lab experience with RF network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
