Human Resources Supervisor – Total Rewards
Are you passionate about leading teams that shape competitive and comprehensive Total Rewards strategies? Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Human Resources Supervisor – Total Rewards to oversee both our Compensation and Benefits teams. This role provides leadership, functional and technical expertise, and strategic direction to ensure our employees are rewarded fairly and supported through robust benefits programs. As the Total Rewards Supervisor, you will lead a team of 7 direct reports (3 in Compensation and 4 in Benefits) and manage the development, implementation, and delivery of compensation and benefits initiatives that align with organizational goals. We are looking for a skilled leader of HR professionals who fosters collaboration, positivity, and mentorship while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Total Rewards team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure timely, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery.
- Oversee day-to-day operations for both compensation and benefits functions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies. Responsible for designing, developing, recommending, implementing, and monitoring strategic Total Rewards projects and initiatives.
- Compensation:
- Develop, recommend, and implement competitive compensation programs and pay structures
- Oversee the completion of job descriptions, salary surveys, analysis of market data, position reclassifications and internal equity reviews.
- Benefits:
- Manage administration of health, wellness, retirement and leave programs.
- Oversee the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) process, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) interactive process, and ADA accommodation requests.
- Evaluate benefit offerings for competitiveness and cost-effectiveness; recommend enhancements
- Oversee the design and delivery of employee wellness initiatives that promote physical, mental, and financial well-being
- Manage relationships with external benefits consultants and vendors, ensuring service quality and alignment with organizational objectives
- Partner with HR Manager and organizational leaders to align Total Rewards strategies with business objectives
- Drive strategic projects, process improvements, and policy updates across compensation and benefits
- Analyze data, assess alternatives, and present recommendations to leadership
- Ensure exceptional customer service and proactive communication with internal stakeholders
- Manage budgets and multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience: The ideal candidate will offer at least 7 years of professional experience in compensation, benefits, or Total Rewards and demonstrated leadership skills in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
