SUMMARY
The Manager, LTL has management responsibility for Less-than-Truckload (LTL) transportation within the DSV Road Inc. group. The position requires a background in LTL pricing, and management of carriers. that. The Manager, LTL will act as a liaison between the company and transportation providers to meet our clients’ business needs and will assist with P&L responsibility for DSV Road Inc. LTL team and operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrier Management
- Contacts
- Quality of Service
- Dispute resolution and claims
- Rates analysis
- Negotiations – Strategize and present specific targets for pricing, service, quality,
- Performance, and compliance.
- Implementation of programs
- Freight Audit Payment
- Develop, Implement, and manage DSV internal operational teams.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement in processes and procedures to maintain proper financial relationships for and between DSV and the Carrier group.
- Build, support and mentor subordinate team(s) to integrate throughout organization.
- Processes and Programs for internal and external educational consumption. This is to include subordinate operational teams, other DSV business divisions, DSV Road Agencies and external customer facing.
- Manage costing model(s) as a basis for Sales opportunities brought forward from the DSV organization.
- Work to research market intelligence and trends, industry risks and opportunities and plausible market strategies in building recommendations for presentation to Senior Management.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
- College degree in Supply Chain and Logistics, Business Management, related field, or experience in lieu of education.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with LTL Pricing and Operations

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Computer Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; i.e. Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Office
- In depth skills in data analysis to identify required outcomes through use of Excel and related programs.
- Inductive and Deductive reasoning skills, assisted with high level Critical Thinking abilities matched with curiosity and interest across industry segments.
Language Skills
- English (reading, writing, verbal)

Salary Positions
For this position, the expected base pay is: $77,500 - $116,500/ Annual. Actual base compens
