Location: Milton Keynes Casino
Hours Per Week: 40
Salary: £30,000

The Event Coordinator position is an exciting role within the casino, responsible for planning, organising and executing events, working with a variety of clients, including businesses, individuals, and organizations, to create memorable and successful events. This role involves a wide range of tasks, from initial concept and budgeting to on-site management and post-event follow-up

About you:
We are looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an events co-coordinator/management role or similar experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and adhere to deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and staff.
- Anticipate potential issues and develop creative solutions.
- Able to adjust plans and respond to unexpected situations.
- Ensure all aspects of the event are meticulously planned and executed.
- Understanding of budgeting and financial tracking.
- Build rapport with clients and vendors and work effectively as part of a team.
- Desirable: Events Management qualification.
- Ideally candidates will live in Milton Keynes

Duties include but not limited to:
- Collaborating with clients to understand their vision, develop event concepts, and create detailed plans.
- Utilising the event space to ensure a successful event.
- Developing and managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Sourcing and coordinating with vendors such as caterers, decorators, entertainment, and transportation providers.
- Managing event setup, breakdown, staffing, catering, and all other operational aspects.
- Overseeing the event on the day, managing staff, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a positive experience for attendees.
- Liaising with other stakeholders such as F&B Manager and VIP manager for internal events.
- Gathering feedback, managing post-event reporting, and handling any outstanding tasks.
- Working with marketing teams to promote events, create marketing materials, and manage social media campaigns.
- To promote the company in a professional and positive manner with both internal and external contacts or at any other opportunity.
- Adhere to key competencies applicable to role.
- To adhere to all company health and safety practices and procedures. Appropriate action taken should any issues arise.
