Challenges You Will SolveRed Canary is looking for a Vice President of Talent to join our scaling organization. In this role you will lead the Talent organization including benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, and our Talent Partner (HRBP) team. Your experience at scaling other fast-growing technology companies will help you craft efficient and effective systems & processes for the entire organization. In this role you will share your expertise and provide input into key decisions as you lead a team of 7 and report to the CFO.

What You'll Do

  • Be the driving force behind Red Canary’s culture and develop creative solutions to amplify employee engagement 
  • Be a thought partner with our CEO on how to take our mission, vision, and strategy and operationalize it
  • Partner with our leadership team to understand and execute the organization's people operations and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • Assess existing Talent programs, processes, and practices, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and drive innovative solutions to enhance the employee experience and support long-term growth objectives
  • Continue to develop a performance-based culture focused on setting measurable objectives, developing "great place to work" programs, engendering accountability, and delivering consistent feedback
  • Drive internal communications and change management tactics to implement HR initiatives and drive adoption across the organization
  • Influence retention and culture through organizational design and development, and effective change management
  • Oversee all HR functions including benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, and employee relations

What You'll Bring

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience including a minimum of 5 years of experience leading all aspects of HR including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, compensation and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of all core HR areas including compensation, talent attraction and management, employee relations, succession planning, culture building, change management, organization design and DEIB
  • Experience scaling HR functions at various stages of scale and maturity; experience leading HR at a startup/scaleup is required
  • Proven ability to translate organizational and business priorities into People initiatives with metrics to support and track success
  • Strong conflict resolution capabilities, critical thinking skills, and emotional intelligence
  • Understanding of how to lead organizational change, empower and influence people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong executive presence and ability to partner and influence at executive level
  • Positive attitude, growth mindset, and the ability to genuinely champion company mission, values, and culture
  • Pragmatic leader approaching both every day HR issues as well as strategic situation as a business partner using data to find the best solution
Targeted base salary range: $195,000 - $250,000 + bonus eligibility and equity depending on experience.
