Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team as the Manager of Supplier Quality Assurance, First Article Inspection Center of Excelle at our Cedar Rapids, Iowa facility. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team, driving the achievement of critical quality goals, metrics, and manufacturing objectives. What You Will Do:

• Manages technical talent and is responsible for an organization of quality engineers and/or managers.
• Leverages advanced Quality tools (Data Analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, APQP) and provides direction for employees on complex technical quality subjects.
• Ensure efficient use of resources which contribute to the completion of domain projects. Drives reuse, personnel development, skill acquisition, process improvement.
• Defines execution of quality plan along with related work scope
• Develops and ensures organizational compliance to policies, processes, and standard work requirements.
• Contributes to long-term resource planning, while acquiring and developing technical resources which contribute to the effective completion of quality initiatives. 
• Actively addresses employee performance and organizational alignment.
• Oversees and participates in review of customer/industry/supplier requirements and development of program bids to ensure compliance and success.
• May serve as primary quality liaison to the customer groups. Participates in external professional organizations.
• Focal point for portfolio leadership for quality initiatives
• Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling responsibilities for groups of supplier quality professionals.
• Responsible to identify, communicate and mitigate risk in a segment within the value stream
• Manages changes of the quality management system that are planned and implemented.
• Reporting on the performance of the QMS to leaders as a basis for improvement of the QMS.
• Ensuring awareness of customer requirements is promoted throughout the organization.
• 25% Travel on average to different Collins Aerospace sites

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:  https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 
• Candidate should have formal leadership experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain and/or Quality.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Quality principles and processes including MRB, Quality clinics, PFMEA, MPR, SPC, and AS9100.
• IPC-A-610 awareness
• AS9100 Lead Auditor
• Knowledge of business management systems: ERP / SAP configuration tools etc.
• AS9102 First Article Inspection knowledge / NETINSPEC
