Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team and lead engineering functions, including MBSE model development, requirements development, and other interdisciplinary engineering tasks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools, as well as experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development of MBSE models and engineering functions for large, complex, sociotechnical systems.
- Utilize modeling tools such as SysML/UML to build system models and capture system requirements.
- Interface with simulation and analysis tools to perform use case simulations and analysis on system models.
- Manage requirements using requirements management tools, ensuring traceability and compliance with project objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system architectures, and validate system designs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in systems engineering, and advocate for their adoption to enhance our engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on MBSE model development, requirements development, and interdisciplinary engineering functions.
- Strong background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, methods, languages, and tools.
- Proficiency in modeling tools such as SysML/UML and simulation and analysis tools.
- Experience with requirements management tools for gathering, analyzing, verifying, and validating system requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is a plus.
Target salary range: $123,000 - $219,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
