Senior Logisitcs Manager

Responsibilities

The individual selected for this position will fill a role as an Engineering Manager in addition to their support as a Logistics Manager.  The EM will report directly to the Program Manager, providing leadership to a cadre of Facilities Managers and serving as an Individual Contributor in support of the Customer.  Specific roles and responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to the following:

 

Engineering Manager Role:

• Serve as the program representative for the resource center team ranging in size from 1 to 10 employees at any given time
• Recruit internal employees and/or external candidates interested in upgrading their security clearance, and work the Program Manager and Customer for sponsorship approval
• Hold regular events which allow resource center employees to be engaged with the program, and help to prepare them for what they can expect when they come onboard
• Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions
• Compile monthly status to the Program Manager
• Support employee on-boarding as well as employee mentoring and support as needed

Logistics Manager Role:

• Oversees management of multiple sites and leads the Facilities Management cadre in conjunction with Customer management
• Positions work independently to support multiple sites, but regularly coordinates with other team members for large movement of materials
• Manages a fleet of vehicles and drives various types of vehicles
• Formulates plans for the timely supply of materials, goods, equipment and various other logistical needs
• Balances/schedules appropriate time between the primary office and sites to perform duties
• Drives to different locations within the WMA to support Customer needs
• Manages the procurement and movement of all materials to support the program
• Oversees logistical support sites -- coordinates, receives and tracks all deliveries
• Travels domestically in support of logistical requirements
• Serves as the accountable property officer
• Available to be on call 24/7 for facilities related emergencies

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must have active TS/SCI w/ Poly
• Minimum of 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience.
• Must have domain experience with this this Customer
• Must have CDL experience and must hold an active CDL-A license
• Must be Forklift driver certified
• Must be familiar with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and compliance
• Must understand lifecycle management of facilities and critical facilities equipment, as well as facilities related O&M
• Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must have demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading a team of individuals

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
