Job Description:

Are you interested in joining a dynamic, innovation-focused, and high impact team? Do you enjoy building new products and services in a collaborative, fast-paced environment?

Join Fidelity Labs, our in-house new business incubator, as an Associate Full Stack Engineer for an early-stage SaaS platform targeting the Charitable sector. In this role, you will work within our experienced development team, learning and contributing to the build and scale of a modern SaaS solution while developing your skills in a collaborative, mentorship-rich environment.

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Role Overview:

As an Associate Full Stack Engineer, you will contribute to building new application experiences and business capabilities to support a new business initiative. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, learning to make technical decisions and contributing to the delivery of scalable, maintainable solutions under guidance and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn to design and implement modular, reusable front-end components in Angular with guidance from senior team members.

  • Contribute to back-end services using Java Spring Boot, JPA, and AWS, developing skills in scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

  • Learn best practices in modular application design, including micro-frontends, shared libraries, and integration patterns through hands-on experience.

  • Collaborate with product, UX, and senior engineering teams to understand how business requirements translate into technical solutions.

  • Participate in modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, learning rapid, reliable delivery methodologies.

  • Actively seek mentorship and learning opportunities, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (recent graduates welcome).

  • Academic or internship experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (Angular preferred).

  • Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot through coursework, projects, or internships.

  • Coursework or practical knowledge of application architecture design patterns (MVC, Observer, Factory, etc.) and software engineering principles.

  • Basic understanding of databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud technologies (AWS experience a plus).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with willingness to seek guidance and work effectively in a team environment.

Bonus Points:

  • Exposure to micro-frontends, Storybook JS, and API management tools through coursework or personal projects.

  • Internship experience or personal projects in startup-like environments, contributing to product development from early stages.

  • Contributions to open-source projects or impressive personal portfolio demonstrating full-stack capabilities.
