Responsibilities

As part of a growing and evolving team, you can expect your day to day to cover any of the following:

    • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and values, ensuring a strong foundation for future growth (i.e. programs and policies that can scale from 50-100, 100-150 employees, etc.)
    • Management: Support, coach and manage, our talented HR team, including our People Ops Generalist
    • Talent Acquisition: Work with our People Ops Generalist to oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding, to attract top-tier talent that drives the company's success.
    • Performance Management: Design and manage performance evaluation systems, providing guidance to managers on employee development and growth opportunities.
    • Cultivate Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through ongoing initiatives, programs, and policies that prioritize employee well-being and engagement, including our annual offsite, happy hours, team meetups, and more.
    • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure a harmonious work environment while adhering to labor laws and regulations.
    • Learning and Development: Maintain and iterate on growth tracks, training programs, and leadership development initiatives that nurture employee and management skills and career progression.
    • Total Rewards, Compensation and Benefits: Manage all compensation structures, benefits programs, and recognition systems that attract and retain top talent.
    • HR Data & Metrics: Keep all HR policies and processes updated and compliant with state law, manage and update employee data, and analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in HR processes and organizational effectiveness.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience (4+ years) in HR manager or leadership roles, preferably in remote startup or SaaS environments
  • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state labor laws, managing global employees and contractors (i.e. EOR management/administration), regulations, and HR best practices
  • Experience with the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, promotions, performance improvement plans, RIFs, layoffs, terminations as applicable
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex problems and drive change
  • Experience managing efforts in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development
  • Experience with scaling and managing an HR/People team at various stages and levels you know when to get creative with current resources, or when to scale and look at new flows and processes
  • Experience using and managing HRIS systems and PEO platforms - we use Rippling
  • Experience managing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS) - we use Greenhouse
  • Experience managing performance management and career development tools, as well as encouraging strategic use and adoption - we use Lattice
  • Able to multitask and complete multiple projects, thrives in a fast paced environment
