Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): The student rehearsal director will run rehearsals and help “clean” the dance work along with the student dancers in the piece.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

-Run rehearsals

-Help “clean” the dance work

-Assist students during rehearsals

 

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)

-Dance experience beyond the beginning level in the genre of the piece being rehearsed

-The ability to demonstrate dance movement material accurately and clearly

-The ability to help students learn movement material during class

-Leadership and pedagogy skills to run rehearsals

-Interpersonal skills 

-Be detail-oriented

-The ability to work independently with integrity

-Must have the rehearsal period free and attend all rehearsals

-Must be dependable, responsible, and punctual
