What You Will Do:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow HRSD solutions, translating complex business requirements into scalable, high-quality technical architectures.
  • Design and configure advanced ServiceNow HRSD capabilities, including case management, Employee Center, lifecycle events, knowledge management, and HR automation workflows.
  • Serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers and ensuring adherence to platform best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Develop and maintain complex ServiceNow components, including custom applications, integrations, workflows, and scoped applications.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues, including root cause analysis, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Oversee and contribute to testing efforts, including unit, system, and integration testing, ensuring solution quality and stability.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards, promoting maintainability, scalability, and security.
  • Own technical documentation, including solution design documents, integration specifications, and system architecture artifacts.
  • Lead demos, technical reviews, and stakeholder briefings, effectively communicating solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Drive platform upgrade planning and execution, including impact analysis, regression testing, and remediation.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions, aligning with enterprise and federal compliance requirements.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow releases, HRSD innovations, and industry trends, driving continuous improvement and adoption of new capabilities.

 

What You Will Need:

  • Active "PUBLIC TRUST" or "SECRET" clearance, or ability to obtain prior to onboarding.
  • Ability to commute to client or corporate offices within the Washington, DC metro area 2–3 days per week.
  • Minimum of SIX (6) years of professional experience, with at least FOUR (4) years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree).
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification (required).
  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow HRSD, including Employee Center, case management, lifecycle events, and knowledge management.
  • Advanced experience with ServiceNow development, including: JavaScript and Glide scripting, Flow Designer and IntegrationHub, UI policies, business rules, client scripts.
  • Strong experience with integrations, including REST, SOAP, and MID Server.
  • Deep understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Proven ability to work independently, lead technical efforts, and manage multiple priorities.

 

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-HR) or other advanced certifications (CIS, CAD).
  • Experience leading or mentoring development teams.
  • Strong background in HRSD implementations, particularly in complex or enterprise environments.
  • Experience with advanced integrations and automation, including third-party systems and APIs.
  • Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe).
  • Experience supporting federal clients, including knowledge of Federal HR processes and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with platform performance tuning, security best practices, and DevOps pipelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
