PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (COPV)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise manufacturing and production of COPV bottles and Aft Structure builds
  • Direct hardware delivery projects for the development of structural components
  • Effectively manage an overall staff of 15+ technicians
  • Manage schedule and work load according to customer and business needs
  • Communicate deliverables with customer groups and upper management
  • Responsible for employee performance reviews, training and personnel qualifications
  • Responsible for machine maintenance and efficiency changes to production processes
  • Responsible for area chores and metrics and presenting status via monthly business reviews

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • 1+ years of experience leading a team or project

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 5+ years in operational leadership
  • Strong experience managing feeder shops, structural, and mechanical assemblies
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing within aerospace
  • 3-5 years of experience in structures, fabrication and machine maintenance
  • Strong project oversight experience of complex projects
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Must demonstrate some physical dexterity in order to correctly set up tooling and hardware
  • Computer skills and knowledge of collaboration tools

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed. Expected shift times: 1st shift (5AM – 3PM) and 2nd shift (3PM – 2AM)
  • Must be willing to travel for short/extended trips as needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:    
    
Pay range:    
Production Supervisor: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year       
    
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
