Finance Rotational Associate: Two-year Rotation

Position starting July 1, 2025

 

Responsibilities and opportunities: This two-year rotational program is a unique opportunity to explore four key areas of financial operations and work with each group for a period of time. 

FP&A Analyst:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to relay the Firm’s financial performance to leadership.
  • Facilitating the firm’s annual budgeting cycle and ongoing forecasts.
  • Developing an understanding of the firm’s business intelligence software, including Qlik Sense, SSRS, and Spotlight, and leverage those tools to improve and automate reporting and analytics.
  • Assist the FP&A Team in the transition of financial enterprise systems and all of the associated financial reporting.
  • Preparation of submissions to industry surveys & interpretation and analysis of the same.

GL Staff Accountant

  • Assist with preparation and distribution of the monthly financial and operating statements.
  • Maintain firm timekeeper statistics 
  • Reconciliation/analysis of various balance sheet and income statement general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare year-end audit work papers at the direction of the accounting manager and controller.
  • Reconciliation of select operating and escrow bank accounts.

Business Operations Analyst 

  • Provide financial support to the legal departments, including budgeting and establishing various financial and non-financial targets and metrics, and then managing against those, recommending corrective action where necessary
  • Coordinate with the various administrative functions within the firm, including Finance, Case Management, IT, etc., to facilitate business processes as needed and ensure the legal operations are carried out effectively
  • Partner with FP&A team for various recurring processes, including but not limited to annual budgeting, monthly P&L analysis, and recurring reporting
  • Utilize profitability models for evaluating and recommending changes to new and existing fee arrangements, and to build client relationships aligned with firm strategy

Escrow Associate

  • Accurate and timely processing of escrow/trust account related transactions including the recording of Trust receipts and the preparation of Trust disbursements
  • Monitor and manage escrow and trust accounts via online banking websites
  • Assist with weekly and monthly reconciliations to ensure proper handling of all trust fund
  • Provide excellent customer service to the Firm's attorneys and other staff members relating to escrow/trust account related inquires and transactions
  • Four year college degree, with a finance or accounting background and interest in the legal industry.
  • Highly organized and practices a high level of attention to detail. 
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage workflow efficiently. 
  • Ability to adapt to change and be a results oriented team player
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate
