The Junior Controls Engineer will join a growing team of IT, Engineering and Health & Safety professionals helping our customers reduce their work-related risk to quality, productivity and employee health.

The Junior Controls Engineer will be working with on projects in automotive manufacturing facilities to help implement the systems of tomorrow. While this position will be based out of Metropolitan Detroit, there will be considerable travel to automotive manufacturing facilities across North America.

Responsibilities will Include

• Work as part of a team to implement PLC updates as required to support next generation IT systems.
• Verify and validate accurate data flow from each device.
• Coordinate with plant resources to schedule and execute tasks.
• Track and report out on progress.
• Travel as required to facilities in the US and across North America
• Off-shift and weekend work may be required at times.

Requirements

• 2 or 4 year degree in engineering and/or technology with emphasis in electrical, industrial controls
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC's
• Strong analytical thinking, as well as problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience within large unionized manufacturing facilities preferred
• Familiarity with plant floor machine monitoring systems preferred
• Must be based in Metropolitan Detroit area or interested in relocating
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to be present on-site to complete daily tasks (Not a remote role)
