Job Description
The business intelligence analyst is a member of the Marketing Operations team and will provide ongoing analytics and insights, using structured data models and templates, with datasets from Tableau dashboards. Data and insights enable leadership and sales to make strategic decisions about future events and successfully generate pipeline and close deals with their customer accounts.

Job Description
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work on complex data sets for customer events and provide strategic insights for event decision making. You will be expected to drive analysis, lead problem-solving initiatives, and work closely with other cross functional teams under limited supervision. Your work will directly contribute to our overall event business strategy and help drive its successful execution.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
- Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
- Develop recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
- Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.
- Will provide consultation to users to address business issues.
- Will directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 4+ years of related experience & Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in working for Marketing or Marketing operations teams
- Self-sufficient in gathering, normalizing, and analyzing data from multiple data sources to support ad-hoc reporting & analysis, intermediate level SQL skills required
- Advanced skills with Tableau, data visualization and profiling – understanding the best way to display data to tell stories for marketers to make data driven decisions
- Advanced skills on MS Excel and manual data management
- Intuitive ability to understand what the data is “telling you” vs just reporting numbers
- Attention to detail in verifying accuracy and reliability before broadly publishing dashboard updates and results.
- Logical thinker that can organize business requirements into functional specifications for technical implementation
- Passion for learning and data analysis – Self-motivated and curious, asking clarifying questions to research issues, business needs, and underlying processes
- Excellent communication and PowerPoint skills to present insights, methodologies, and recommendations to executives and business stakeholders
- Efficient and strong multi-tasker that can keep up and thrive in a fast paced, high performing organization
