Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor in Riverside, CA to support the production of composite components for aircraft engines within a union manufacturing environment.
This role supports 3rd shift operations (11:30 PM – 6:30 AM), starting Sunday night through Friday morning. Initial training will take place on 1st shift for approximately the first month. Candidates should be flexible, as the role may occasionally require coverage on earlier shifts and includes on-call responsibilities every other weekend.
What You Will Do:
Lead a team of 15 and 25 bargaining unit personnel in day-to-day production operations
Maintains Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance, including regulatory record keeping, injury reduction and a behavioral based safety culture
Lead shop floor Real Time Problem Resolution (RTPR) meetings (Tier 1)
Maintains personnel attendance and performance records
Promotes employee retention and growth
Fosters a “One Team” philosophy
Monitors performance: productivity, production schedule, cost, quality and customer satisfaction goals within our manufacturing facility
Drives relentless Root Cause and Corrective Action in the quest to eliminate repeat errors
Guide cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience leading a team
Experience in a manufacturing environment or technical knowledge
Experience working with composite materials
Bargaining unit experience
Experience working with Percent Loads, Standard Worksheet, Standard Work Combination Sheets
Experience with RTPR Process
Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
